1 Samuel 3:8-11 > And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you did call me.” Then Eli perceived that the LORD had called the boy. Therefore, Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say, ‘Speak, LORD, for Your servant hears.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place. Now the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.” Then the LORD said to Samuel: “Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.” (NKJV)

Father, you love us. We forget this truth, and sometimes we don’t feel physically your love or even hear your voice, but we believe you love us, and we receive your unfailing love and perfect grace afresh today. Speak, LORD, for your servants hear you.

We want to hear your voice, as we also want to see your face, and one day we know that we will see your face when you return. We rest today in your anointing to hear your voice, to know when you call, to surrender to your plans, and to obey your commands.

You are the only One who knows us, for no one else created our bodies, souls, and spirits. You are our Creator, Lord of heaven and earth; the earth is your footstool and the stars sing your praises from the dawn of the universe to the new heavens you will create after Judgement Day. Speak, LORD, for your servants hear you.

Whatever you say, whatever you ask us to do, wherever you want us to go, however you want us to flow with your Spirit, we trust you with all our hearts and follow you with joy and hope. Let your River flow. Come to the waters, all you peoples, and find rest and comfort.

Isaiah 25:4-9 > For You have been a Stronghold for the poor, a Stronghold for the needy person in his distress, a Refuge from the rain, a Shade from the heat. When the breath of the violent is like rain against a wall, like heat in a dry land, You subdue the uproar of barbarians. As the shade of a cloud cools the heat of the day, so He silences the song of the violent. The LORD of Hosts will prepare a feast for all the peoples on this mountain – a feast of aged wine, choice meat, finely aged wine. On this mountain He will destroy the burial shroud, the shroud over all the peoples, the sheet covering all the nations; He will destroy Death forever. The Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from every face and remove His people’s disgrace from the whole earth, for the LORD has spoken. On that day it will be said, “Look, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He has saved us. This is the LORD; we have waited for Him. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.” (HCSB)

We love you, Heavenly Father. We praise your name, our Stronghold and Refuge. The earth is filled with many strongholds; yet, you are our Stronghold, and you have given your people spiritual weapons with divine power to demolish satanic strongholds.

Thank you for your victory, LORD of Hosts. God of the Angel Armies, all the galaxies move and breathe and find their purpose and meaning in you. You are faithful, and you teach your sons and daughters to hide your Word in our hearts so that we will know you, recognize your voice, Good Shepherd, and remain faithful to your covenant with us.

Thank you for your faithfulness, thank you for the banquet meal we share in communion with your Spirit every day as we abide in you, our Vine and Rushing Waters. We rejoice in your salvation and praise you for rescuing us when we rebelled against your design and revelation. Our bones were dry and dead, unable to live or grow or learn or move.

You breathed upon us your breath of life, you sang new songs over our dead bodies, and you raised us up into new life by the power of Jesus Christ, and we praise you for your Resurrection Life that we could never deserve to receive by our good works.

You teach us every day how to abide in you, receive your Word, listen to your Spirit, and follow your leadership wherever your River flows. Hosanna in the highest!

John 1:29-34 > The very next day, John saw Jesus coming toward him and yelled out, “Behold! Here he is, God’s Passover Lamb! He forgives the sins of the world! This is the man I’ve been talking about, ‘the One who comes after me but is really ahead of me.’ I knew nothing about who he was – only this: that my task has been to get Israel ready to recognize him as the God-Revealer. That is why I came here baptizing with water, giving you a good bath and scrubbing sins from your life so you can get a fresh start with God.” John clinched his witness with this: “I watched the Spirit, like a dove flying down out of the sky, making himself at home in him. I repeat, I know nothing about him except this: The One who authorized me to baptize with water told me, ‘The One on whom you see the Spirit come down and stay, this One will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ That’s exactly what I saw happen, and I’m telling you, there’s no question about it: Jesus is the Son of God.” (MSG)

Father, we don’t understand you, and we don’t need to. If we could explain everything about you in a way that makes sense to us, then you would not really be God. Your mysteries and eternal glory make us choose to live by faith or live for self.

We only have this one life to make this decision, and we thank you for revealing clearly in your Word who you are and what you want. Thank you for sending Jesus Messiah to save the world; how you love all the nations and your love is complete – perfect to save families from every tribe, tongue, nation, and people.

You are Father, Son, and Spirit, and we are to baptize the nations in your name and teach them to obey all your commands. Please teach us how to make disciples.

Please forgive us when we assume we know how, that we have the master plan, and begin to walk boldly in the confidence of our resources and strategies, our horses and chariots, rather than by faith alone in your daily revelation of your sovereign plans for each of us.

Please teach us how to keep in step with your Spirit. Please keep us humble in this unpredictable adventure.

Colossians 1:15-20 > Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see – such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. (NLT)

We behold Jesus Christ today, beloved Father. Thank you for revealing your Son to us, that Jesus is all we need for everything we will experience on earth in this life, because he is your Perfect Word, and your Word is a Lamp to our feet and a Light to our path.

You show us the way, you open our blind eyes, you open our deaf ears. When we seek you first with all our hearts, forsaking the need to understand “how” or “why,” you lead us Counselor, you guide us Shepherd, you protect us Strong Tower, you train us in warfare, Master.

Our heart’s cry today is for the Body of Christ in this generation. Please call us to unity by humbling us with your greater glory.

Whatever it takes, no matter how hard the journey, bring your people together in unity of your Word and Spirit so the nations will come home in Jesus’ name, amen.
